Liasa automated its Document Management processes with a solution by SoftExpert, a provider of software and services for automation and improvement of business processes, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Liasa is a silicon metal producer with more than 20 industrial patents registered, four silicon metal furnaces and 570 collaborators. The company exports 85% of this production volume, mainly to Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East.
According to John Vaine Lincoln Cabral, the company’s IT manager, prior to adopting SoftExpert Excellence Suite (SE Suite), controls were performed in a segregated and non-traceable manner, which made it difficult to properly manage the Corporation’s documents and standards.
“Our biggest challenge was document reviewing, as well as creating control flows and document approval. Today, with SE Suite, all information is systematically stored and managed, which facilitates the internal monitoring of inputs as well as the traceability and history stored in all operations,” Cabral emphasizes.
SE Suite is a platform for management excellence, process improvement and regulatory compliance, composed of 38 integrated modules that make up 12 enterprise solutions, including electronic document management, which manages the entire content lifecycle, from creation to archiving or discarding.
Used by the Quality sector as well as the Manufacturing and Administrative areas, the solution meets all the company’s requirements to comply with ISO 9001. According to the IT manager, the solution has standardized documents, reducing rework and the large volume of printed documents, by providing data that is accessible in an integrated way within a single system.
“We reduced the time needed to perform operations due to the accuracy of the controls. We have observed greater user satisfaction, risk mitigation and easier execution in audit processes. The tool is easily adapted to the document flows of the corporation and our current growth requires systematization and the accurate control of all processes. SE Suite helps us in all these areas,” Cabral explains.
