Adami SA, with business units in the Chemical-Mechanical Paste, Forestry, Timber, Paper, Packaging and Electrical Energy sectors, improved the reliability of its data, and the speed and standardization of its budget management actions, by adopting a solution by SoftExpert, a provider of software and services for automation and business process improvement, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
The company, among the 1,000 largest in Brazil, has 2,000 collaborators and had revenues of R$ 677 million in 2016.
At the end of 2014, Adami’s board of directors hired a consultant to implement a model of governance by indicators and, in 2015, the process of implementing the model in the organization was carried out. According to Luciano Rossete, IT manager at Adami, the Planning department, in conjunction with the Information Technology department, decided to invest in solutions that would allow for a more dynamic form of management.
“Using the SoftExpert tool, we were able to provide the decision makers with all the indicators, in an automated and accessible manner. After this, it took two months to carry over all the indicators in the spreadsheets of the different areas, input them into the solution and then begin monitoring with the measurements of the targets. It was an automated process that occurred across the entire company, involving all of its areas,” the executive explains.
Currently, SoftExpert Excellence Suite (SE Suite) is used in all seven different business units of the company. Directors, managers, supervisors and analysts make up the list of users of the management platform. According to Rossete, the gains in reliability, speed and standardization of information were the most relevant among the many benefits of the project.
“The solution was implemented as a culture within the company. Today, with automation, managers have more time available for more strategic tasks, in addition to getting real-time information for the directors to outline Adami’s planning. At management meetings, for example, we no longer use spreadsheets, but rather the indicator portal created within SE Suite,” Rossete reports.
According to Paulo Roberto Bacchmi, Adami’s Planning Manager, with the solution, processes are simpler and more agile. “We have greater information security, where data is integrated directly with other essential systems for our operation, such as our ERP. This integration facilitates the process of monitoring budget management and KPIs in the different areas and has given us significant performance gains, as well as allowing for decentralized and standardized management,” says Bacchmi.
In the future, the organization intends to implement SE Risk, the SE Suite risk management module, for updating their ISO 9001:2015 certification.
